REWRITE
REWRITE is a powerful development opportunity for senior students to develop literacy and understand how they can take action on diversity, prejudice, discrimination and unconscious bias.
The big idea: “Each one of us has the potential to create real change in the world, by choosing to challenge prejudice everyday.”
LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Students have developed a
greater literacy about issues of
discrimination, prejudice and
social inclusion.
2. Students build an awareness of
privilege and empathy for
people with lesser heard
voices, as well as cultivating
self-empathy for their own
experiences of marginalisation.
3. Students have identified
avenues for allyship and are
empowered to take action to
combat peer-based and
broader discrimination.
