PROJECT ROCKIT is Australia's youth-driven movement against bullying, hate and prejudice. Through online and face-to-face workshops we empower school students to challenge bullying instead of standing by watching.
  • How is PROJECT ROCKIT genuinely youth driven?
When PROJECT ROCKIT was founded in 2006, it was inherently youth-led and driven because 100% of its staff (of 2) were young people. These days the organisation has to maintains active efforts to ensure that the content, approach and culture of the organisation remain youth-driven. We do this by working closely with our youth Brains Trust, a group of young people aged 13-20 who steer new initiatives feature heavily in our content, participate in learning opportunities and are given a platform to be spokespeople for PROJECT ROCKIT. We also strive to remain youth driven through recruitment of young people into the organisation who are encouraged to contribute to PROJECT ROCKIT blogs, social media, awareness campaigns, workshop content and strategic planning.
  • What are our credentials?
PROJECT ROCKIT is a certified provider recognised by the federal Office of the eSafety Commissioner. We work closely with government, community and corporate stakeholders, sit on the executive of the National Centre Against Bullying, Twitter's global Trust and Safety Council and Facebook's Safety Advisory Board. Most importantly our presenters are highly trained, passionate young people who we support to create inspiring, practical and safe discussion in schools around the issues that matter most to young people.
  • How do I know this fits into my schools curriculum?

  • When will I hear back from PROJECT ROCKIT regarding my enquiry?

The highlight for me was the presenters. They engaged our students for the entire time - which is definitely a feat with our cohort! The content was spot on too, allowing students to have space to voice their stories, be heard, listen to one another."
