Bridging the Digital Divide

Together, we're focusing on equipping young people with the tools and strategies to thrive in a digital world.

Supporting Regional Communities

Young people in regional areas often score lower in digital skills and wellbeing compared to their urban peers. In response, Telstra Foundation is investing $1.5 million in an innovative 3 year partnership with PROJECT ROCKIT to offer schools across 33 regional communities free access to an impactful, youth-centred digital wellbeing program.

This program will deliver in-person digital citizenship workshops to 30,000 students in regional areas, offer online resources to an additional 250,000 young people, and enhance community digital literacy by engaging 900 parents and carers through online seminars.

Leveraging Expertise for Digital Innovation

Telstra Foundation's Australian Youth Digital Index project aims to identify and monitor the key drivers, issues, and opportunities that relate to young people’s relationships with digital technology. The research draws on both quantitative and qualitative data on young people’s digital lives, their attitudes, behaviours, perceptions, and experiences.

By combining PROJECT ROCKIT's expertise in youth engagement and 20 year impact with the Telstra Foundation's dedication to digital innovation, our partnership is uniquely positioned to lead the charge in creating meaningful change in the digital landscape.
